Install Shot from ‘Now What’
This body of work is the result of an interrogation of a piece of text about a place, exploring the comparison of the familiar and the unfamilar. By developing a number of processes, Lydia uses a combination of printing, painting and drawing to reconnect with her family’s history and culture. The aim is to communicate atmosphere to the viewer in a variety of ways using autobiographical text. The relationship between space, place and memory is also investigated in this work.
